We are an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. We provide engineering services in acoustics and noise control, with most of our projects falling under industrial noise control and hearing conservation as well as environmental acoustics.

Our History

Colorado Analytics began providing services in 2016. However, our experts have been working in the field for much longer.

Associates in Acoustics

Dennis Driscoll founded Associates in Acoustics in 1990. With the help of a number of talented engineers, audiologists, and technicians, he built AIA into an important and respected resource, serving industrial hygienists, engineers, and audiologists through the accumulation and application of unparalleled expertise in industrial noise control and hearing conservation.

Joshua Leasure, who had been working in acoustics for other firms since 2002, joined AIA in 2012. Prior to his time at AIA, Joshua specialized in mechanical noise, environmental acoustics, and architectural acoustics.

Colorado Analytics

Joshua formed Colorado Analytics in 2015 as a side-project to develop software to perform acoustical analysis (explaining the name of the company). In 2016, Joshua left AIA as an employee and converted Colorado Analytics into a full-time acoustical consulting firm. AIA and Colorado Analytics cooperated closely for the next 3 years, with most of our workload coming from AIA.

Combined

In 2019, Dennis shifted into semi-retirement and Associates in Acoustics became a part of Colorado Analytics. Dennis continues to work for us on occassion and we still rely heavily on Thomas Lloyd, who was a coworker of Joshua’s at AIA who has been with Dennis since 1998.

Without the decades of work and dedication of Dennis and the employees of AIA, we would not be where we are today.
